By mapping the critical points in the region from the municipality of Demir Kapija, we made a significant step towards building a more resilient future against climate change, as part of the current project “Increasing resilience to climate change at the local level”

The dedicated mayor of the Municipality Lazar Petrov and representatives from the Department of Urbanism of Municipality , joined in constructive meeting about the critical challenges that this region is facing in the era of climate change.

• We highlighted the areas susceptible to flooding,
• We were discussed about the fire risks in this area.
• Erosion concerns were addressed.
• Extreme weather conditions were also analyzed.

From the on-site inspection of these critical points:

• We witnessed first hand the vulnerabilities.
• We have identified potential solutions.
