Realizimi i këtij projekti, pjesë e fazës së dytë të programit“Përforcimi i Këshillave Komunalë”, tregoi se kur qytetarët vendosin, rezultatet janë të dukshme dhe të dobishme për të gjithë komunitetin. Përveç rregullimit të shtratit të lumit, Likova përmes projektit bëri një hap të madh përpara drejt modernizimit të vetëqeverisjes lokale:

Projekti “Përforcimi i Këshillave Komunalë” financohet nga Qeveria Zvicerane dhe Ministria e Vetëqeverisjes Lokale, ndërsa zbatohet dhe bashkëfinancohet nga Programi i Kombeve të Bashkuara për Zhvillim (UNDP).
09.03.2026, Lipkovo – Regulation of the Slupchane Riverbed Successfully Completed: Greater Safety and New Standards for Transparency in the Municipality of LipkovoLipkovo– With the completion of construction works on the riverbed in the village of Slupchane, the residents of the Municipality of Lipkovo have gained long-term flood protection and a newly developed recreational space. This significant project was successfully finalized as a direct result of the priorities identified by the citizens themselves through the Community Forums.The successful realization on the ground was observed by a delegation led by the Minister of Local Self-Government,Zlatko Perinski, the Ambassador of Switzerland,H.E. Christophe Sommer, UNDP Resident RepresentativeArmen Grigoryan, and the Mayor of Lipkovo,Erkan Arifi. Their visit coincided with the fifth and final session of the Community Forums, symbolically marking the conclusion of a successful partnership cycle between the institutions and the local population.Beyond Infrastructure: A Municipality in Service of its CitizensThe completion of this project, part of the second phase of the“Empowering Municipal Councils”program, demonstrates that when citizens participate in decision-making, the results are tangible and beneficial for the entire community.
